Pacifico X OBEY Clothing
Blending art and activism, Pacifico installs a street mural in Los Angeles’ Venice Beach neighborhood to raise awareness of the need to protect ocean adventures for all, designed by Studio Number One, a creative agency founded by Shepard and Amanda Fairey. The mural served as the creative basis for the Pacifico X OBEY clothing collection which includes a durable t-shirt, reusable tote bag, and art print. The design featured on the clothing recalls the key elements of each partner, including the iconic Pacifico colors incorporated into the mural and a surfer riding a wave with the mantra “RESPECT OUR OCEAN”.
“We are thrilled to partner with OBEY Clothing to further Pacifico Preserves’ mission to help protect the outdoors by supporting the Surfrider Foundation with this collaboration,” said Alex Schultz, Senior Brand Marketing Director for Pacifico . “Our common audiences are environmental champions and action sports enthusiasts, so we think Pacifico drinkers will want to proudly show their support with this collection. “
Founded by activist, street artist and skateboarder Shepard Fairey, OBEY Clothing represents a mix of progressive design, classic streetwear and sartorial basics.
“OBEY Clothing is steeped in empowerment and is dedicated to challenging the way people think and act about the environment,” said Steve Ternosky, CEO of OBEY Clothing. “Working with Pacifico allows us to communicate this message in an authentic and powerful way, as we both share a deep commitment to protecting the outdoors. “
