The hottest watches at the 2021 Met Gala

Last night, it seemed like every celebrity in the known universe walked the beige carpet at the Met Gala in Manhattan. There is nothing particularly shocking about it – it takes place virtually every year (with the exception of global pandemics), although usually on the first Monday in May. This year we tune in, hoping to see a slight touch of watchmaking fun, when instead we were faced with an onslaught of high impact watches – everything from watches. from vintage tools to luxury diamond encrusted goods like Patek and AP. Almost all of the brands were represented in the theme of the evening “In America: A Fashion Lexicon”. It’s quite possible that we here at HODINKEE were the only ones who missed out on the luxury outfit because we were too busy looking at all the watches. We’ve gone ahead and compiled some of our favorites and hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
